General Info 
There were Christians in England by 250 c.e., but nobody quite knows how the word of Christ got there, maybe with the Roman army.

The first major British Christian was Pelagius, although little is known of him, he is thought to have come from Britain and personally played an important role in shaping the early character of the Celtic Christianity.

Celtic Christianity
The first major movement of Christianity in Britain was in Ireland and then spread to the north of England.  St. Patrick was a main leader, and the focus was the monastery (different in form from those developing in Europe)

Roman Christianity
Was spread through Southern England, and led by Led by Augustine of Canterbury, sent by Pope Gregory the great. Was spread by converting the king’s of the provinces in the south

Later leaders viewed Celtic Christianity as heretical and dangerous
